As well as the vintage juke box, with everyones' requested tunes on it, another big favourite was the photo booth where you could take a Polaroid picture, with or without a moustache, to attach to your "best wishes" messages which you typed on a vintage typewriter. These were then pinned to washing line and attracted a lot of interest as people were very inventive with their comments.

"Are they camera daft ?"I ask myself
Only 3 days to go to our son's wedding in Durham on Saturday and we are all very excited. The bunting is done, the outfits sorted and the umbrellas bought (just in case). I thought you might like to take a look at some pre-wedding pics of the happy couple when they visited Crook Hall, Durham recently.

Degree Results

WHOOPEE!
Just to let my friends and family know that today the University of Teesside confirmed our results and I'm pleased to say that I have been awarded a First Class Honours Degree in Textile and Surface Design. None of my provisional marks have changed and I'm delighted with my overall average of 84%!

New Designers 2011

Thought you might like to see some photos taken of the CCAD
stand last week at New Designers in London

The lovely Lauren, Colleen, Lindsay, Lucy, Bev and Laura

Proud Bev, Tanya, Tracy, Lauren, Imogen and myself

Joy came down to offer support and we managed to find time to visit the Miro exhibition at the Tate Modern.
(This is next to the Golden Hind that we passed on route)
We all had a fabulous time in Islington with plenty of interest in our stand, especially Bev's and Lucy's work. It was hard work on the legs but Colleen, Bev and I were very, very lucky to be staying so close in Joy and Mark's wonderful flat with plenty of eating places right on your doorstep. The feedback from the trade and the general public was just amazing and made the last six years worth every minute.
Thanks to all the staff at CCAD that made all of this possible by supporting and encouraging us over the years.
